The Touristenheim Bergfreude is a family hostel since three generations.
In 1961, Paul Loretan and his wife Martha Loretan-Brendel build the first group accommodation in Leukerbad.
In 1974, their daughter Brigitte Fugnanesi-Loretan takes over the family business. In 1994 she began major work to modernize the hostel, which was completely rebuilt.
Since 2013, the hostel is run by Chantal Kofmehl-Fugnanesi, Brigitte’s daughter.
Three generations of passion guarantee a quality of service and a warm welcome.
